We’re looking for an experienced Program Manager to organize, coordinate and lead a diverse portfolio of projects involving internal and external stakeholders within the satellite telecommunication industry.

Reporting to the Director of Project Management Office, the Program Manager will support business/project/program owners in all phases (initiation, planning, execution and closing) of their project delivery as per project management best practices.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated strong leadership ability based on expertise and influence, and has experience managing complex projects within multiple disciplines, i.e., strategy, operations, technology, and marketing.

Main responsibilities

To coordinate network development projects carried out by third parties by assuming the following functions:

  • Being responsible for the daily coordination of multiple internal and external stakeholders and providing project status visibility to the senior leadership team and individual project sponsors.

  • Developing and controlling deadlines, budgets, and activities.

  • Monitoring and documenting risks.

  • Proposing mitigation and action plans in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Resolving project issues in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Developing tools and communication mechanisms as required.

  • Performing project tracking: preparing, maintaining, and submitting clear & concise activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports. Applying a proactive approach in routinely tracking project members’ progress against project commitments.

To act as the overarching entity who consolidates and reports on program health and status to executive leadership team. Activities include:

  • Developing program health scorecards and reporting program health on a recurring basis.

  • Managing risks across program projects.

  • Ensuring financial milestones and deadlines are properly documented and communicated.

  • Ensuring the resources required for the program’s success are properly identified and communicated to the sponsor and executive team.

  • Acting as the main focal point, offering visibility on program health and status.

  • Integrating activities and timelines from different projects to build program roadmaps.

  • Assuming any other responsibilities related to the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences, administration or another relevant field; engineering diploma or MBA an asset.

  • Proven experience as a Project or Program Manager (minimum 5 years) with significant previous experience in complex development activities included but not limited to telco, software, hardware, system integration, or other related technical domains.

  • PMP certificate is an asset.

  • Proficiency with project management tools and modern technology such as MS Project for the Web.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS 365 Office and program/project management software.

  • Bilingual (French & English).
